General Requirements

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

Exporters must confirm with the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock & Food Supply (MARA) if an import permit is required for the consignment.

Note: An import permit may not indicate that a phytosanitary certificate is required. If no indication of a requirement for a phytosanitary certificate is present, no phytosanitary certificate is required and the consignment may be exported as a non-prescribed product.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

A phytosanitary certificate may still be required if an import permit is not issued.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Note:
  • Axonopus fissifolius  is a synonym of Axonopus affinis.
