Explanation of the endorsements

Endorsement 6096 & 6097:

Visual inspection by the Authorised Officer is sufficient to endorse freedom from Oriental cowpea weevil (Callosobruchus chinensis), Cowpea weevil (Callosobruchus maculatus), Warehouse beetle (Trogoderma variabile) and Rice moth (Corcyra cephalonica).

Red witchweed (Striga asiatica) is recognised as not occurring in any Australian states and territories except the Mackay Region of Queensland. Consignments of Vigna radiata seed of Australian origin can be endorsed free from Striga asiatica without any evidence presented except for seed sourced from the Mackay Region. Vigna radiata seed sourced from the Mackay Region cannot be endorsed for export to Argentina.

For endorsement 6097, the statement "OFFICIAL LABORATORY ANALYSIS NUMBER (NUMBER) / DATE (DATE)" can be entered in the "Additional product description field" section of the EXDOC Request for Permit (RFP) if required. There is to be no deviation from this text format. To enable the field on the RFP the exporter must submit a request to the EXDOC Plant Program via (EXDOCPlantPrograms@agriculture.gov.au).
