General Requirements

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

​Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
​Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Phytosanitary visual inspection may be used for endorsing freedom from Warehouse beetle (Trogoderma variable) and Oriental cowpea weevil (Callosobruchus chinensis).

Red witchweed (Striga asiatica) is recognised as not occurring in any Australian states and territories except the Mackay area of Queensland. Australian consignments of Triticum aestivum seed can be endorsed free from Striga asiatica without any evidence presented except for seed sourced from the Mackay area which cannot be endorsed.
 
Explanation of the endorsements

Endorsements 3175 and 5771:

If required the statement “OFFICIAL LABORATORY ANALYSIS NUMBER (NUMBER) / DATE (DATE)" can be entered in the "Additional product description field" section of the EXDOC Request for Permit (RFP). There is to be no deviation from this text format.To enable the field on the RFP the exporter must submit a request to the EXDOC Plant program via (EXDOCPlantPrograms@agriculture.gov.au).

Oriental cowpea weevil (Callosobruchus chinensis),
2) The crop was inspected during active growth and found free of
Perennial thistle (Cirsium arvense) and Wheat nematode (Anguina tritici),
3) The consignment has been sourced from an area recognised by SENASA as free from Red witchweed (Striga asiatica).

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 3175)
1) The consignment was inspected and found free of Trogoderma spp and
Oriental cowpea weevil (Callosobruchus chinensis),
2) The consignment was found to be free by official laboratory testing of
Perennial thistle (Cirsium arvense) and Wheat nematode (Anguina tritici),
3) The consignment has been sourced from an area recognised by SENASA as free from Red witchweed (Striga asiatica).

Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement 5770)
1) The consignment was inspected and found free of Trogoderma spp and Oriental cowpea weevil (Callosobruchus chinensis),
2) The crop was inspected during active growth and found free of Perennial thistle (Cirsium arvense), Wheat nematode (Anguina tritici) and witchweed (Striga spp).

Option 4 (EXDOC Endorsement 5771)
1) The consignment was inspected and found free of Trogoderma spp and Oriental cowpea weevil (Callosobruchus chinensis),
2) The consignment was found to be free by official laboratory testing of Perennial thistle (Cirsium arvense) and Wheat nematode (Anguina tritici),
3) The crop was inspected during active growth and found free of witchweed (Striga spp).
