Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.Phytosanitary visual inspection may be used for endorsing freedom from Warehouse beetle (Trogoderma variable) and Oriental cowpea weevil (Callosobruchus chinensis).
Red witchweed (Striga asiatica) is recognised as not occurring in any Australian states and territories except the Mackay area of Queensland. Australian consignments of Triticum
aestivum seed can be endorsed free from Striga asiatica without any evidence presented except for seed sourced from the Mackay area which cannot be endorsed.
