General Requirements

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

​Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Alternatively exporters are to provide an authority for the importation of seed for research from the NPPO of Argentina.

​Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Note:
  • Bent grass nematode (Anguina agrostis) is not known to occur in Australia, freedom from this pest will be endorsed without citing any evidence. The declaration has been amended to allow entry as per SENASA's requirements for this seed.

Explanation of the endorsements

Endorsement 5641:

If required the laboratory analysis certificate number and date can be entered in the "Additional product description field" section of the EXDOC Request for Permit (RFP) as: LABORATORY ANALYSIS NUMBER <NUMBER> / DATE <DATE>. There is to be no deviation from this text format. To enable the field on the RFP the exporter must submit a request to the EXDOC Plant program via (EXDOCPlantPrograms@agriculture.gov.au).

1) Consignment was inspected and found free of Bent grass nematode (Anguina agrostis), Warehouse beetle (Trogoderma variabile), Downy mildew (Peronospora farinosa), and Quinoa downy mildew (Perenospora variabilis),
2) Consignment was found free through laboratory testing of Sowbane mosaic virus.
