General Requirements

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

​Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

​Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

If required, the statement "OFFICIAL LABORATORY ANALYSIS NUMBER (NUMBER) / DATE (DATE)" can be entered in the "Additional product description field" section of the EXDOC Request for Permit (RFP). There is to be no deviation from this text format. To enable the field on the RFP the exporter must submit a request to the EXDOC Plant program via (EXDOCPlantPrograms@agriculture.gov.au).

Explanation of endorsement 7485:
  • Only applies to seeds originally grown in the USA, with the import permit indicating the country of origin as the USA and the country of departure as Australia. A phytosanitary certificate issued by the USA, or issued by another country with the country of origin endorsed as the USA on the certificate, which can be linked to the consignment,​ must be provided to the Authorised Officer at time of inspection.
  • Visual inspection by an Authorised Officer is sufficient for endorsing freedom from Warehouse beetle (Trogoderma variabile).
  • A laboratory analysis certificate is required to endorse freedom from Perennial thistle (Cirsium arvense). The laboratory analysis certificate number must be endorsed in the additional product description field as per instructions above.

2) The crop was officially inspected during the growing period and found to be free of Perennial thistle (Cirsium arvense), Muskweed (Myagrum perfoliatum) and Doublegee (Emex australis), Sunflower broomrape (Orobanche cumana), Common broomrape (Orobanche minor) and Branched broomrape (Orobanche ramosa).

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 4917)
1) The consignment is free of Warehouse beetle (Trogoderma variabile),
2) The consignment was found to be free by official laboratory testing of Perennial thistle (Cirsium arvense), Muskweed (Myagrum perfoliatum) and Doublegee (Emex australis),
3) The crop was officially inspected during the growing period and found to be free of Sunflower broomrape (Orobanche cumana), Common broomrape (Orobanche minor) and Branched broomrape (Orobanche ramosa).

Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement 7096)
1) The consignment is free of Warehouse beetle (Trogoderma variabile),
2) The crop was officially inspected during the growing period and found to be free of Perennial thistle (Cirsium arvense), Muskweed (Myagrum perfoliatum) and Doublegee (Emex australis), Nodding broomrape (Orobanche cernua), Common broomrape (Orobanche minor) and Branched broomrape (Orobanche ramosa).

Option 4 (EXDOC Endorsement 7095)
1) The consignment is free of Warehouse beetle (Trogoderma variabile),
2) The consignment is free from Doublegee (Emex australis), Perennial thistle (Cirsium arvense) and Muskweed (Myagrum perfoliatum) according to the result of the official laboratory analysis indicated in the additional product description of this phytosanitary certificate,
3) The crop was officially inspected during the growing period and found to be free of Nodding broomrape (Orobanche cernua), Common broomrape (Orobanche minor) and Branched broomrape (Orobanche ramosa).

Option 5 (EXDOC Endorsement 7485)
1) The consignment is free of Warehouse beetle (Trogoderma variabile),
2) The consingment is free from Perennial thistle (Cirsium arvense) according to the result of the official laboratory analysis indicated in the additional product description of this phytosanitary certificate.
