Unless specified within the commodity list below, the Department is unaware of any specific requirement for edible non-prescribed goods that are for export to Libya.

Unless specified in the specific commodity below, the Department is not aware of any certificate for the export of non-prescribed edible goods to Libya. Exporters are encouraged to confirm the importing conditions through their importer or, if needed, the government authority of Libya.

Compliance with relevant Australian domestic requirements. The Department is unaware of any certification requirements for export to Libya.

Rendered edible animal fats and oils, including tallow

1. Preconditions for market access

Exporters who wish to export rendered edible animal fats and oil products into Libya should contact the Department for Australian Government export certificate.

1.1 Import permit

The Department is not aware of any import permit requirement for importing rendered edible animal fats and oils including tallow into Libya.

2. Documentation requirements

2.1 Government certification

For edible animal fats and oils including edible tallow, use EX188M (manual only). Libya's National Centre for Animal Health (NCAH) has accepted the EX188M certificate – refer to Micor – Meat – Libya – 7.4.

2.2 Supporting documents and exporter declarations

The Department is not aware of any supporting documents for sending rendered edible animal fats and oils to Libya.

3. Other requirements

The Department is not aware of any other requirements (for example, packaging, labelling) of edible tallow.

4. Exemptions granted by Libya

The Department is not aware of any exemptions being granted by Libya. Exporters are encouraged to confirm if any exemptions apply by contacting their importer or, if needed, the relevant Libyan government authority.

The Department is not aware of any preconditions for market access.

2. Documentation requirements

2.1 Government certification

An unendorsed EX188B certificate (NEXDOC only) can be issued for edible apiculture products. However, exporters are encouraged to confirm the importing conditions through their importer, or if needed the government authority of Libya.
