Importing country requirements
It is the exporter's responsibility to ensure that the animal meets the importing country requirements.
An import permit is required.
Information on the requirements to import animals into the United Arab Emirates is available on the
UAE Ministry of Climate Change & Environment’s website.

- Note
- Where an importing country issues an import permit, the exporter must ensure the animal meets any requirements in the permit.
Health requirements
Health certificate
I,…………………………………………., a duly authorised Government Veterinary Officer certify that:
- The domestic pigeons for export to the United Arab Emirates were hatched and kept in Australia until export.
- The Australian State/Territory from which the domestic pigeons were sourced from is free from high pathogenicity avian influenza (HPAI) as defined in the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code.
- The Australian State/Territory from which the domestic pigeons were sourced from is free from Newcastle disease, with vaccination, in accordance with the OIE definition.
- The domestic pigeons come from establishments that have been free of other notifiable avian diseases for at least three (3) months prior to export.
- The domestic pigeons have been vaccinated as indicated below during the three (3) months prior to export: (cross out table if not applicable)

- The domestic pigeons were examined by a registered veterinarian in the three (3) days prior to export and were found free from evidence of clinical disease, including ectoparasitism.
