Importing country requirements
It is the exporter's responsibility to ensure that the animal meets the importing country requirements. Additional information to assist exporters with how to prepare reproductive material for export is available on the
Department’s website.
Note that the requirements to import live animals into the Malaysian states of
Sabah and
Sarawak are subject to locally imposed requirements. You should consult the separate Micor entries for
Sabah and
Sarawak.
An import licence is required and will be issued by the Veterinary Office of the State into which the semen is being imported.
Contact the
Malaysian Department of Veterinary Services for information about the process required to import reproductive material into Malaysia from Australia.
