General Requirements

​Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

This ICR applies to Acrocomia spp, Ravenea rivularis and Hyophorbe verschaffelti.

Seed covered in a fleshy pericarp will not be permitted entry into New Zealand.

Micor case requirements also apply to Chamaerops spp and Linospadix spp seeds, as well as certain Dypsis spp seeds - see the MPI Plants Biosecurity Index for details.

New Zealand requires complete scientific name (genus and species) on the phytosanitary certificate. The exporter must specify the complete scientific name (genus and species) when raising a RFP.

Explanation of Endorsement
  • Coconut cadang-cadang viroid is​ not known to occur in Australia. No supporting evidence is required to endorse freedom from this pest.
