Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.
A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
It is the exporter’s responsibility to ensure that the phytosanitary certificate is issued within 14 days of the consignment being exported from Australia.

Explanation of the endorsement
Endorsement 3165:
- Visual inspection by the Authorised Officer is sufficient as supporting evidence for this endorsement.
- The Endorsement is only to be used when the import permit specifically requires this statement on the phytosanitary certificate. A phytosanitary certificate with nil additional declaration is to be issued if the import permit does not state this requirement.
