Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material. including plant debris.
A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Plants must be bare rooted and free of any growing media.
Exports are permitted for research use only.
Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Examination may be undertaken by a person has suitable qualifications to perform the inspection and make an official declaration. eg: State Department of Agriculture employee, Department of Primary Industry employee, Crop monitor, Company employed entomologist.
