Importing country requirements

It is the exporter's responsibility to ensure that the animal meets the importing country requirements.

Contact the National Service of Agricultural Health and Food Safety (SENASAG) and the Consulate of the Republic of Bolivia in Australia for information about the process required to import animals into Bolivia from Australia.

Note
Where an importing country issues an import permit, the exporter must ensure the animal meets any requirements in the permit.

Health requirements

Prospective exporters of animals to Bolivia must seek written confirmation of the import health conditions from the National Service of Agricultural Health and Food Safety (SENASAG) and provide these with a National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) certified 2/3 level English translation to the relevant Departmental regional office at the time of NOI submission.

Return to Australia

If your animal is returning to Australia, you should make yourself familiar with the Department’s requirements for importing live animals into Australia. This is important as your animal may have been exposed to diseases that do not occur in Australia.
