Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.
It is the exporter’s responsibility to ensure that the phytosanitary certificate is issued within 14 days of the consignment being exported from Australia.
Refer to the departure date and inspection date in the Request for Permit.
Note: If an import permit is obtained, it may or may not require freedom from Karnal bunt (Tilletia indica), Common bunt of wheat (Tilletia tritici), Dwarf bunt (Tilletia controversa) , Common bunt (Tilletia laevis) and Downy mildew of wheat (Sclerophthora macrospora) specifically.
- If these pests are mentioned specifically, a laboratory analysis certificate and/or area freedom certificate endorsing freedom from Common bunt of wheat (Tilletia tritici), Common bunt (Tilletia laevis) and Downy mildew of wheat (Sclerophthora macrospora) must be presented to the Authorised Officer at time of inspection. Karnal bunt (Tilletia indica) and Dwarf bunt (Tilletia controversa) are not known to occur Australia; no supporting documentation is required for these pests.
- If these pests are not mentioned specifically, no laboratory analysis certificate is required at inspection or authorisation.
