General Requirements

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Plants must be less than 2 years in age.

​Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

1) Potato rot nematode (Ditylenchus destructor),​ Four spotted spider mite (Tetranychus canadensis), Mcdaniel spider mite (Tetranychus mcdanieli), Pacific spider mite (Tetranychus pacificus), Schoene spider mite (Tetranychus schoenei), Hawthorn spider mite (Tetranychus viennensis) and Apple yellow mite (Eotetranychus pruni) are not known to occur in Australia,
2) A representative sample was inspected and found free from Western flower thrips (Frankliniella occidentalis), Leaf miners (Liriomyza spp), White tip nematode (Aphelenchoides besseyi), Spring dwarf nematode (Aphelenchoides fragariae), Chrysanthemum foliar nematode (Aphelenchoides ritzema-bosi), Stem nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci) and 6-spotted spider mite (Eotetranychus sexmaculatus),
3) The plants are packed in a sterilised medium free from soil particles,
4) The plant material is free from fruit, seed and pods.
