If required by the import permit, the consignment must be treated with an appropriate fungicide and insecticide at approved label rates,
OR
With an appropriate fumigant at approved label rates,
OR
With phosphine at the following rate:
Solid phosphine fumigation at:
- 1.5grm/m3 for 72 hours at 28 degrees Celsius or above.
OR
Cylindorised phosphine (VaporPH3OS) at:
- 1050 ppm for 72 hours at 28 degrees Celsius or above;
OR
Cylindorised phosphine (ECO2Fume) at:
- 75grm/m3 for 72 hours at 28 degrees Celsius or above.
The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the department at time of authorisation.

Notes:
- Whichever phosphine formulation is used for undertaking fumigation to meet Philippines' quarantine requirements, it will be endorsed in the phytosanitary certificate as "Fumigated with phosphine at 1.5 grm/m3 for 72 hours at 28 degrees Celsius or above".
- These dosages are higher than Australian approved label rates. Fumigators may use the Minor Use Permit for phosphine obtained by the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment to meet Philippines' phytosanitary import requirements.
- If no treatment is required by the import permit, no treatment details are to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate.
