Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.
Exporters must confirm with the Philippines NPPO if an import permit is required for the consignment. If an import permit is required, a copy of the import permit must be presented at the time of making an appointment for an inspection with an Authorised Officer.
A phytosanitary certificate is still required if an import permit is not issued.
Treatment
Treatment
Philippines has been issuing import permits with varying treatment requirements. When specified on the import permit, consignment must be fumigated with appropriate fumigant at Australian approved label rates.Details of treatment to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.
The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the department at time of authorisation.
