Consignments are to be fumigated before loading with:
Option 1 - Methyl bromide at:- 40 grm/m3 for 12 hours at 32 degree Celsius or higher;
OR
- 56 grm/m3 for 12 hours at 27 to 31 degree Celsius;
OR
- 92 grm/m3 for 12 hours at 21 to 26 degree Celsius;
OR
- 96 grm/m3 for 12 hours at 16 to 20 degree Celsius;
OR
- 120 grm/m3 for 12 hours at 10 to 15 degree Celsius;
OR
- 144 grm/m3 for 12 hours at 4 to 9 degree Celsius (Australian Label rates do not allow methyl bromide fumigation below 10 degree Celsius).
Option 2 - Phosphine at:- 3 grm/m3 for 72 hours at 16 to 20 degree Celsius;
OR
- 2 grm/m3 for 96 hours at 21 degree Celsius and above;
OR
- 2 grm/m3 for 120 hours at 16 to 20 degree Celsius;
OR
- 2 grm/m3 for 144 hours at 11 to 15 degree Celsius;
OR
- 2 grm/m3 for 240 hours at 5 to 10 degree Celsius (Australian Label rates do not allow phosphine fumigation below 15 degree Celsius).
The fumigated product must have a minimum aeration period of 12 hours.
The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.Details of treatment to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.
