Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material, including animal material
A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Treatment
Treatment
Consignments are to be treated with:
- Methyl bromide at 48grm/m3 for 2.5 hours at 21 degrees Celsius and above;
OR
- Phospine at 5grm/m3 for seven days at temperature above 25 degrees Celsius;
OR
- Phospine at 5grm/m3 for ten days at temperatures between 15 – 25 degrees Celsius;
AND
- Consignments are to be treated by dusting (to excess) with an appropriate insecticide and/or fungicide at recommended manufacturers requirements.
The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
