Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.
A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Treatment
Treatment
Consignments are to be treated for ensuring freedom from storage pests before export when specified on the import permit.
Heat treatment used during the processing of kiln dried oats may be considered an effective treatment against storage pests when goods are heat treated to 60 degree Celsius or higher for any duration.
OR
Consignments are to be fumigated with appropriate fumigant at manufacturer's approved label rates.
The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
A Manufacturer's Certificate explanting the heat treatment process (temperature and duration) is considered as an evidence of heat treatment.
Details of treatment to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section, unless the import permit specifies treatment details must be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate as an additional declaration.
