General Requirements

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

​Myrtle rust (Austropuccinia psidii) is present in Australia. Therefore, treatment is required as per the Treatment section below.

Treatment

The consignment must be treated with one of the following fungicides applied at the listed rate, or the maximum label rate legally allowed in Australia if the below rates are higher than the maximum Australian label rates;
  • Azoxystrobin at 0.22g a.i. per kg of seed
OR

  • ​​Triadimenol at 0.225g a.i. per kg of seed
OR
  • Manocozeb at 4g a.i. per kg of seed
OR
  • Tebuconazole at 2.5g a.i. per kg of seed

If seeds are treated at the maximum Australian label rate, a copy of the registered label must accompany the consignment.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
