General Requirements

​​Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

Packages shall not be contaminated with soil, plant material or animal material.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

​This Micor case covers:

Endorsements are only to be added if required by the import permit.

Explanation of the endorsements

Endorsement 4888:

Applies to consignments which have undergone methyl bromide fumigation and have undergone laboratory analysis for seed viability.​

​Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Treatment

Import permits may be issued with varying treatment requirements. Refer to import permit for specific treatment requirements.

Methyl bromide fumigation at:

  • 48 grm/m3 at 21 degrees Celsius or above for 24 hours;

OR

  • 56 grm/m3 at 16-20 degrees Celsius for 24 hours;

OR

  • 64 grm/m3 at 10-15 degrees Celsius for 24 hours;

OR

​​Fumigated with appropriate fumigant at approved label rates.​​

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the department at time of authorisation.
