Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.
A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
This ICR applies to imported green coffee beans being re-exported using a re-export phytosanitary certificate (EX25). For imported green coffee beans that have been repackaged, or for which the original phytosanitary certificate is no longer available, refer to the Coffee beans - green Micor case for New Caledonia.
Endorsement number 6536 is to be listed in the coded statement field of the RFP.
Re-exported green coffee beans must meet New Caledonia's additional declaration and treatment requirements. A re-export phytosanitary certificate (EX25) is only to be issued if the following can be met:
- The original phytosanitary certificate issued by the country of origin endorses any disinfestation treatment required by the import permit; and
- If the import permit requires an additional declaration for freedom from Coffee berry disease (Colletotrichum coffeanum var. virulens), the original phytosanitary certificate issued by the country of origin must endorse the required additional declaration for the pest based on pest free area or laboratory testing of a representative sample. Test results must be supplied to New Caledonia if freedom from Coffee berry disease (Colletotrichum coffeanum var. virulens) is endorsed based on laboratory testing.
Note: Importation of green coffee from Africa or Cuba into New Caledonia is prohibited.
