Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds, extraneous material, fruits, flowers, litter, leaves, compost and any other prohibited organic material.
A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Each plant must be labeled with genus and species.
Plants are to be on authorised transport support media (see New Caledonia Schedule of authorised support media. Eg. peat, perlite, vermiculite, coconut fibre, sphagnum moss) 0.5-0.6 L maximum, new and non adhesive to root system;
OR
Young plans to be set in square cups (9 cm X 9 cm maximum, corresponding to 0.6 L of medium) or in a round pot of 10.5 cm maximum diameter (corresponding to 0.5 L of medium);
OR
Bare rooted, washed plants.

Treatment
Consignment is to be treated with an appropriate insecticide and fungicide by dipping or spraying.
Where media is used:
Culture media to be treated with an insecticide and a nematicide not more than 15 days prior to shipping.
The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
