General Requirements

Currently permitted entry without an accompanying import permit and/or phytosanitary certificate.

Oatbran is not a prescribed grain as defined in the Export Control (Plants and Plant Products) Rules 2021 Section 1-7. Therefore, no inspection by an Authorised Officer is required for export.

Note:
  • From 1 June 2021, import permits for oatbran can be requested from Malaysia's NPPO. If an import permit is presented at time of inspection by an Authorised Officer, a phytosanitary certificate must be issued. If no import permit is presented at time of inspection by an Authorised Officer, no phytosanitary certificate can be issued.
  • From 1 August 2021, all consignments of oatbran will require an import permit and phytosanitary certificate for clearance in Malaysia.
