General Requirements

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Phytosanitary certificates must be issued within 14 days prior to the export of the consignment.

Treatment

Consignments are to be treated with:
  • Benomyl 1grm ai per 100grm of seed, or any suitable fungicide at the recommended rate;

AND

  • Sevin at 0.2 grm/100 grm of seed;

AND

  • Thiram 80, or any suitable fungicide at the recommended rate.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Note: The import requirements reference benomyl fungicide treatment, however there are no products containing benomyl which are registered by the Australian Pesticide and Veterinary Medicines Authority for use in Australia.
