General Requirements

​Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

Consignments of green coffee beans are permitted import into Japan without an accompanying phytosanitary certificate. The exemption from the requirement for a phytosanitary certificate applies to both commercial cargoes and sample shipments imported via mail.

Green coffee bean is not a prescribed good under the Australian export legislation, therefore the consignment does not require inspection by an Authorised Officer and issuance of an export permit.
