General Requirements

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

ICR applies to shelled, unshelled and processed nuts.

A phytosanitary certificate is not required unless the end use is for fertiliser, stockfeed or other input in agricultural production.

Almonds are not a prescribed good for the purposes of the Export Control Act 2020, therefore consignments of almonds which will not be used as fertiliser, stockfeed or input in agricultural production may be exported to Japan without an Authorised Officer inspection and the issuance of an export permit.
