General Requirements

​Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

All consignments must be free from India's Quarantine weed seeds as per Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) (Tenth Amendment) Order, 2019.
 
Explanation of the endorsements:​

Endorsements 3052 and 6760:
  • An area freedom certificate or a laboratory analysis certificate or a crop inspection report may be used to endorse freedom from Bacterial blight of carrot (Xanthomonas hortorum pv carotae).
  • A crop inspection report must be presented to endorse freedom from Carrot viruses including Carrot mottle dwarf virus, Carrot red leaf virus and Carrot yellow leaf virus.
  • A laboratory analysis certificate must be presented to endorse freedom from Indian Quarantine weed seeds.
  • Visual inspection by the Authorised Officer may be used to endorse freedom from soil.
Endorsement 7480:
  • Only for consignments that will be re-exported from India.
​Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

4) The consignment is free from quarantine weed seeds,
5) The consignment is free from soil.

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 6760)
1)The seed productions were checked during active growth and seeds in this consignment are free from Bacterial blight of carrot (Xanthomonas horttorum pv. carotae), Carrot Mottle Dwarf Virus, Carrot Red Leaf Virus, Carrot Yellow Leaf Virus, 
2) The seeds in this consignment are free from quarantine weed seeds,
3) The consignment is free from soil.

Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement 7480​)
1) The consignment is free from Bacterial blight of carrot (Xanthomonas hortorum pv carotae) and Leaf blight (Alternaria carotiincultae).
2) The consignment is free from Carrot viruses (mottle dwarf, red leaf, and yellow leaf),
3) Crop was inspected during active growth and found to be free of carrot viruses, 
4) A representative sample was tested and found free from Quarantine weed seeds listed in Schedule VIII of the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of import into India) Order, 2003.
5) The consignment is free from soil.

Option 4​ (EXDOC Endorsement 7512​)
Additional Official Phytosanitary Information:
1) The consignment is free from Bacterial blight of carrot (Xanthomonas hortorum pv carotae), 
2) The consignment is free from Carrot viruses (mottle dwarf, red leaf, and yellow leaf),
3) Crop was inspected during the active growth and found to be free of Carrot viruses​​,
4) A representative sample was tested and found free from Quarantine weed seeds listed in Schedule VIII of the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of import into India) Order, 2003.
