General Requirements

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

Explanation of the endorsements:

Endorsement 879

  • The exporter is to provide a crop inspection report or area freedom certificate to endorse freedom from Black leg (Leptosphaeria maculans), Bacterial leaf blight of tomato (Pseudomonas viridiflava), Bacterial leaf blight (Pseudomonas syringae pv maculicola) and Black rot (Xanthomonas campestris pv campestris).
  • All consignments must be free from India's quarantine weed seeds as per Schedule VIII of PQ Order 2003. Exporter must provide a laboratory analysis certificate attesting to the endorsement and to present to the Authorised Officer at time of inspection.​
  • In Addition, visual inspection by the Authorised Officer must be undertaken as per instructional m​​aterial for endorsing freedom from the following quarantine weed seeds.​
  • Visual inspection by an Authorised Officer is sufficient to endorse freedom from soil (as per normal tolerances).

Endorsement 929

  • The exporter is to provide a crop inspection report​ to endorse freedom from Black leg (Leptosphaeria maculans) and Bacterial leaf blight of tomato (Pseudomonas viridiflava).
  • All consignments must be free from India's quarantine weed seeds as per Schedule VIII of PQ Order 2003. Exporter must provide a laboratory analysis certificate attesting to the endorsement and to present to the Authorised Officer at time of inspection.​

1) The parent plants were inspected during the growing season and found free from Black leg (Leptosphaeria maculans), Bacterial leaf blight of tomato (Pseudomonas viridiflava), Bacterial leaf blight (Pseudomonas syringae pv maculicola) and Black rot (Xanthomonas campestris pv campestris),
2) The consignment is free from quarantine weed seeds as per schedule VIII of PQ Order 2003,
3) The consignment is free from soil.

Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement No 1111)
1) The consignment is free from Bacterial leaf blight (Pseudomonas syringae pv maculicola) and Black rot (Xanthomonas campestris pv campestris),
2) The parent plants were inspected during the growing season and found free from Black leg (Leptosphaeria maculans) and Bacterial leaf blight of tomato (Pseudomonas viridiflava),
3) The consignment is free from quarantine weed seeds as per schedule VIII of PQ Order 2003,
4) The consignment is free from soil.

Option 4 (EXDOC Endorsement No 1347)
