General Requirements

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

​Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Approved products are:
  • Budgie mix (Riverina brand). Product contains: White French millet, panorama millet, shirohie millet, hulled oats, red panicum millet, canary seed as stated on the import permit (Authorised Officer to verify).
  • Breeders budgie mix (Riverina brand). Product contains: White French millet, panorama millet, jap millet, hulled oats, red panicum millet, canola seed and canary seed as stated on the import permit (Authorised Officer to verify).
  • Canary mix (Riverina brand). Product contains: Barley, wheat, maize, sorghum, bran and pollard, lupins, other non-plant products as stated on the import permit (Authorised Officer to verify).
  • Finch mix (Riverina brand). Product contains: Panorama millet, White French millet, canola seed, canary seed, shirohie millet, red panicum millet as stated on the import permit ( Authorised Officer to verify).
  • Parrot mix (Riverina brand). Product contains: Wheat, corn, sorghum grey stripe sunflower, oats and other non-plant products as stated on the import permit (Authorised Officer to verify).
  • Peachface mix (Riverina brand). Product contains: White French millet, canary seed, grey stripe sunflower, safflower, shirohie millet, hulled oats as stated on the import permit (Authorised Officer to verify).
  • Pigeon mix (Riverina brand). Product contains: Sorghum, corn, field peas, safflower, wheat, corn/soya pellets as stated on the import permit ( Authorised Officer to verify).

Exporter to provide evidence attesting to the ingredients and to present to the Authorised Officer at time of inspection.

Only product of the approved brand and approved ingredients is permitted to be exported and will be issued Phytosanitary certification.

The type of product must be stated on the Phytosanitary certificate in the Distinguishing Marks column. Authorised Officer must verify the brand of the product at time of inspection and note on the inspection report.
