Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.
All bulbs must be in clean, new packaging
All bulbs and corms must be free of leafy covering.
A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Each type of bulb in the consignment must be clearly identified by its botanical name to species level.

Treatment
Consignments are to be treated by dipping in an approved systemic insecticide, miticide and fungicide at recommended manufacturers requirements.
Or the consignment has undergone a post-harvest treatment prior to packaging.
The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Details of treatment to be endorsed on the Phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.
