Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.Any consignments with an ISTA analysis certificate which states a presence of soil greater than 0.1% of the sample (weight by weight) are required to be retested in Chile for soil. If testing in Chile confirms that soil presence is greater than 0.1% of the sample weight, the consignment will be rejected. Additionally, if soil is found during on-arrival inspection in Chile, the consignment will be rejected. It is the exporter's responsibility to ensure the soil content of a consignment meets Chile's requirements.

- A crop inspection certificate is required to endorse freedom from Bacterial wilt (Curtobacterium flaccumfaciens pv. flaccumfaciens) and Bacterial blight of pea (Pseudomonas syringae pv. pisi).
