Consignments are to be treated with either:
- Methyl bromide at 32 grm/m3 for 24 hours at 21 degrees Celsius or above at NAP;
OR
- Phosphine at 5 grm/m3 for 120 hours.
Details of treatment to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.
If wooden packaging is to be used it must be treated using one of the below treatments:
- Fumigated with Methyl bromide at 48 grm/m3 for 24 hours at 10 degree Celsius or above;
OR
- Heat treated at 56 degree Celsius core temperature for 30 minutes.
Wooden packaging treatment details are not to be endorsed on phytosanitary certificate.
The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
