General Requirements

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
A soil test for potato cyst nematode (PCN) must be presented prior to export. If potatoes have been sourced from a PCN pest free area (PFA), a state government issued certification of area freedom will be accepted by Brunei in place of a soil test.

Treatment

Consignments are to be fumigated with Methyl bromide at 26 degrees Celsius, or above, at 48 grm/m3 for 2 hours.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Treatment is not required to be conducted or stated on the phytosanitary certificate if not stated on the Import permit
