General Requirements

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

For imported Dactylis glomerata seeds that have arrived with a phytosanitary certificate from the exporting country that meets Brazil's import requirements, have remained sealed, and are being re-exported to Brazil, refer to the Dactylis glomerata seed (re-export) Micor case for Brazil.

​Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Explanation of the endorsements

Endorsements 858, 859 and 860:

  • Applies to seed of Australian origin.

Endorsement 6439:

  • Applies to seed of New Zealand origin.
  • Imported seeds may be exported as part of a larger consignment containing Australian goods and be included on the phytosanitary certificate.
  • All seed on the phytosanitary certificate not of Australian origin must have their country of origin listed.
For EXDOC Endorsement 860 and 6439, the laboratory analysis certificate number must be entered in the "Lot number" section of the EXDOC Request For Permit (RFP) as: LABORATORY ANALYSIS NUMBER <NUMBER>. There is to be no deviation from this text format.

​Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 859)
1) The area of production is free of Broomrape (Orobanche spp) and Witchweed (Striga spp).

Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement 860)
1) A representative sample was found free through laboratory testing of Broomrape (Orobanche spp) and Witchweed (Striga spp).

Option 4 (EXDOC Endorsement 6439)
1) A representative sample was found free through laboratory testing of Broomrape (Orobanche spp) and ent grass nematode (Anguina agrostis).
