General Requirements

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

New and clean bags must be used for packaging. Bulk consignments must be covered in tarpaulin.

Explanation of the endorsements:

Endorsement 5044

  • A crop inspection certificate is required to endorse freedom from Downy mildew (Peronosclerospora spp) and Tobacco ringspot virus.
Endorsement 7028
  • A laboratory analysis certificate is required to endorse freedom from Downy mildew (Peronosclerospora spp) and Tobacco ringspot virus.

Treatment

​Consignments are to be fumigated with an appropriate fumigant at recommended manufacturers requirements 14 days prior to export and consignments are to be treated with an approved fungicide (seed dressing) at recommended manufacturers requirements prior to packaging

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

1) The consignment was laboratory tested and found free from Downy mildew (Peronosclerospora spp) and Tobacco ringspot virus.
