General Requirements

​​This ICR applies for the importation of plant material by participants of the World Flower Show 2017 only.​

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

The import permit number is to be included in the import permit section of the Phytosanitary certificate.​

The import conditions are applicable to:
  • Bottle brush wood pieces (Calistamon spp)
  • Dried Lotus flowers (Nelumbo lutea)
  • Bunches of Gum nuts (Eucalyptus globus)
  • Burnt banksia stems (Banksia baxteri cone)
  • Stems of Coral fern (Dicranopteris linearis)
  • Stems Woody pear (Xulomelum angustifolium)
  • Peace lily (Spathliphyllum spp) 
  • Stems of Teak pods (Flindersia australis)
  • Stems of Golden shower pods (Classia fistula)
  • Stems of Billybutton (Craspedia spp) 
  • Stems of Tetragona gum nuts (Eucalyptus tetragona)                           
  • Stems of Pauciflora gum nuts (Eucalyptus pauciflora)  
  • Stems of Corokia (Corokia magnoliophyte)

All plant material must be properly packaged and sealed. Each carton should carry the consignee's distinguishing marks (i.e name, address etc.) and must be clearly market: "WORLD FLOWER SHOW, BARBADOS, 2017".

Treatment

​Consignments are to be treated with appropriate fumigant at manufacturer's approved label rates.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the department at time of authorisation.

Exporters must attach the fumigation certificate with the consignments.

​Details of treatment to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.

Any supporting documentation should be attached to the certificate.
