General Requirements

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


​Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


If required by the import permit, The import permit number and date may be entered in the "Additional product description field" section of the EXDOC Request for Permit (RFP). To enable the field on the RFP the exporter must submit a request to the EXDOC Plant Programs via email (EXDOCPlantPrograms@awe.gov.au).

Explanation of the endorsements


Endorsement 7082
  • A crop inspection certificate is required to endorse freedom from Bacterial blight (Pseudomonas andropogonis), Bacterial leaf streak (Xanthomonas holcicola), Black helminthosporium (Helminthosporium spp.) and Fusarium spp.,
  • Visual inspection by the Authorised Officer is sufficient to endorse freedom from Fall army worm (Spodotera fugiperda) and Ergot (Claviceps spp),
  • The exporter must provide a laboratory analysis certificate attesting to freedom from quarantine weed seeds and present to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection. Bangladesh's list of quarantine weed seeds can be found on p.144-145 of the Plant Quarantine Rules 2018
  • In Addition, visual inspection by the Authorised Officer must be undertaken as per instructional material for endorsing freedom from the following quarantine weed seeds

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 7082)
1) The crop was inspected during active growth and found to be free of Bacterial blight (Pseudomonas andropogonis), Bacterial leaf streak (Xanthomonas holcicola), Black helminthosporium (Helminthosporium spp.) and Fusarium spp.
2) The consignment was found free through official testing and inspection procedure of quarantine weed seeds, Fall army worm (Spodotera fugiperda) and Ergot (Claviceps spp).
