General Requirements

​​Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.​

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Consignments are to be accompanied with the original import permit.

Explanation of the endorsement​

Endorsement 2079
  • This endorsement applies to all consignments even when the additional declaration requirement is not specifically stated on the import permit.
  • Visual inspection by an Authorised Officer is sufficient for endorsing freedom from hemp seeds (Cannabis spp) and poppy seeds (Papaver spp).​
